Encounter 2026
For students in grades 6-12th
Encounter provides a space to encounter the living Jesus not just individually, but with a community of churches from across Central PA. Whether it’s through worship, the beautiful setting of Camp Yolijwa, action-packed games with friends, or in a late night small group conversation, we expect to encounter Jesus in meaningful ways!
This year’s theme is Jesus makes everything new.
When we truly encounter Jesus, we don’t walk away the same. Jesus confronts the things that hold us back, heals the places that are broken, and frees us from the things that keep us from being who God created us to be. Through an encounter with Jesus, we discover a:
- New Identity
- Belonging
- Purpose
This year’s speaker is Jess Rufle! Jess serves as the Next Gen Director at Living Word Community Church in York, PA, where she is passionate about helping kids and teens know and follow Jesus. She has spent years investing in the next generation through teaching, discipleship, mission trips, and partnering with families. Jess loves creating environments where students feel known, challenged, and encouraged to grow in their faith. She’s excited to spend the weekend with you and can’t wait to see what God has in store!
And once again, we will be joined by Salt N Light Youth Ministries, who will be leading us in worship at Encounter! Salt N Light’s mission is to provide Christ-centered events and resources that cultivate students’ faith and aid youth leaders in making disciples.
Cost: $175 per student (Multi-child discount available for families)
